Dr. Adams Jr., MD
Dr. Adams earned his medical degree at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical School in 1988, completed his General Surgery internship and Residency at St. Paul Hospital / University of Texas Southwestern in Dallas, Texas in 1993 and completed a Fellowship in Vascular Surgery at the University of Missouri in Columbia in 1995. He is board certified in both General and Vascular Surgery.
Dr. Adams is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons having served as President of the Missouri Chapter 2006-2007, a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society, American Medical Association, Missouri State Medical Association, Missouri Surgical Society, St. Louis Vascular Surgical Society, International Society of Endovascular Specialists, and the Society of Clinical Vascular Surgery. He has presented over 25 papers at scientific meetings and has published numerous scientific articles and textbook chapters dealing with various aspects of vascular disease.
Dr. Adams specializes in treating vein disorders with an approach which integrates comprehensive patient evaluation with non-invasive vascular testing as indicated. Dr. Adams’ treatment philosophy emphasizes achieving both functional and cosmetic results with office-based, minimally-invasive laser and microsurgical techniques which allow patients to resume their normal lifestyle almost immediately.
